While we're proud of our modern equipment and our innovative concept's, however, we believe the quality of a companies staff determines the quality of our business philosophy. Many of our support staff and drivers have been with us for over ten years; all our drivers are veterans with more than seventy-five years’ combined experience. Our drivers' are state certified professional's, drug-tested, highly trained milk handlers with outstanding safety records.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Attendance and timeliness are essential functions of this position, must be consistent to work for shift and on time to the dairy.
  • Drives truck between dairies and receiving plants, loads and documents all load information on iPad.
  • Complies with all company safety policies and Fit for Work policy, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Operates all company vehicles and equipment in a safe and professional manner.
  • Inspects truck and tanker for readiness and DOT compliance. To include tires, lights, brakes, suspension, fuel, oil and coolant level's, follows company policy and documents pre and post trip inspection's. Fuels and stocks trucks as needed. Maintains truck cleanliness.
  • Inspects exterior of equipment for cleanliness and for leaks, excessive wear, loose or missing parts or damages.
  • Responsible for verifying that iPad is clean and in good working order, signs in and out truck and iPad #s each shift and reports any issues to of any company equipment Supervisor.
  • Take photos of seals, dome, dust cover and iPad. and sends to Supervisor for validity and approval.
  • Maintains communications with shift supervisor, yardman and other drivers while on duty.
  • Performs emergency roadside duties such as proper use of emergency triangles. Possesses aptitude and capability necessary to negotiate issue's at the plant or at a dairy, communicating with the dairymen and supervisor in order to work together to accomplish the goal.
  • Must be teachable and trainable.
  • Able to operate manual and automatic transmission.
  • Works a varying schedule during shift periodically.
  • Possesses a willingness to follow direct orders and to adhere to policies and procedures.

Education & Experience

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Three (3) years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of training and experience. Experience driving trucks with gross weight of 80,000 lbs. Experience pulling single trailer. Class A CDL, with Tanker Endorsement.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, training manuals and operating procedures and policies. Employee needs ability to write simple reports and correspondence, and to effectively present information in a clear concise detailed report. Ability to communicate effectively with other employees, dairy men and yardmen in the English language.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract and multiply gross and tare weights to determine net milk pounds.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to completely understand the communicated either verbal or written  instructions and policies of the company, our customers, and the receiving plants we deliver to. Ability to handle highly stressed out or difficult individuals and or situations due to unforeseen circumstances.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES and ENDORSEMENTS

  • Employee must meet Department of Transportation requirements. They must have a Class A CDL, with Tanker endorsements.
  • Successful background check, drug screen and road test as well as a current DOT medical card are mandatory for employment.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Public relation skills are a plus in communicating with various people throughout the day including receivers, dairy workers, and lab techs to name just a few.
